Ask a questionIs Kudakero only for clothing brands?
No. It was designed around fashion, so it handles sizes, colorways and drops especially well. Beauty, accessories, homeware and most other product stores use it just as easily.
I don’t have a Shopify store yet. Can I still use this?
Yes. You need a Shopify account to install a theme, and Shopify usually offers a free trial, so you can sign up, install Kudakero and build your store before you choose a paid plan. You’ll need a paid Shopify plan to open your store to customers. If you’d rather not set it up yourself, the Done For You plan includes building your website for you.
Which Shopify plan do I need?
Any Shopify plan works. Kudakero is an Online Store 2.0 theme, so sections and app blocks work on every page.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Everything is set up in Shopify's theme editor: add sections, change colors and fonts, and rearrange pages by dragging. If you'd rather not do it yourself, the Done For You plan includes building your website for you.
I already have a store. Can I switch without breaking it?
Yes. Your products, collections, customers and orders are stored in Shopify, not in the theme, so they stay as they are. You add Kudakero to your theme library, set it up and preview it while your current theme stays live, then publish when you’re ready. Your old theme stays in the library, so you can switch back at any time. Custom code or app snippets added to your old theme need to be moved across.
Will my apps still work, and do I need them?
Most apps will. Kudakero is an Online Store 2.0 theme, so any app that uses app blocks or app embeds can be added from the theme editor. Older apps that were installed by editing your previous theme’s code may need to be set up again. You may also need fewer apps: sticky add to cart, swatches, size guides, countdowns, popups and cart upsells are built in. Review stars show ratings from Shopify’s standard review fields, so you still need a reviews app to collect them.
Is there a limit on how many products I can add?
Not from the theme. Kudakero works the same with ten products or ten thousand, and Shopify lets you add unlimited products on every plan. Shopify’s own limits, such as the number of variants per product, still apply.
Can I use it on more than one store?
Basic, Done For You and Premium each cover one live store. The Agency plan covers up to five stores for $249, about $50 per store. For more stores, buy another licence. Development and staging copies of the same store are included, so you can test changes safely.
Will my store look like the demos?
The layouts, sections and styling will match. The demos use example photos and text, and Shopify doesn’t copy demo content into your store, so your pages will show your own products and photos. Good photography makes the biggest difference. On the Done For You and Premium plans, we build the pages with your content for you.
Will this make me more sales?
No theme can promise sales, because results also depend on your products, prices, photos and traffic. What Kudakero does is remove the common reasons shoppers leave: slow pages, unclear sizing, hidden buy buttons and a hard-to-use cart on mobile. If it isn’t right for your store, you’re covered by the 7-day refund guarantee.
What happens in the Done For You plan?
We build your website for you. We install the theme, apply your branding, build your homepage, collection and product pages with your products, and check everything on desktop and mobile before you launch.
Do I get theme updates?
Yes. Every plan includes lifetime theme updates: new features and fixes for Shopify changes, at no extra cost.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Every plan has a 7-day refund guarantee. If you’re not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of purchase. We’ll help you set it up first, and if it still isn’t right, you get a full refund, even if you’ve already installed it. Just remove it from your store. See the refund policy for details.
